DPCO4/05 Module

Relay module

 28,88 excl. BTW

Description

The DPCO4 is a relay module used for potential-free switching of various signals. The module contains 4 double-pole changeover relays that can be switched independently. The DPCO4 must be controlled by one external signal (DC) per relay, for example from an OC32 module. Other electronics can also be used, provided they deliver the correct control signals. The relays switch a maximum of 2A per contact at 24V (DC or AC). Applications for the DPCO4 are numerous. In principle, you can switch anything on/off that must not have an electrical connection to the switching module. Some examples include: Switching turnout frogs; Supplying track voltage to routes (Dinamo, see document “Dinamo Plug&Play Wisselstraten”); Supplying track voltage to sidings without needing a separate block output (Dinamo); Saving block outputs in staging yards (Dinamo); Switching devices that only work on AC. The DPCO4 is equivalent to the HPP4, with the difference that the DPCO4 is easier to connect due to a smarter design and smaller components. Two versions of the DPCO4 are available: DPCO4/05: The version with 5V relays can be powered with a positive DC voltage between 7.5V and 15V. DPCO4/12: The version with 12V relays can be powered with a positive DC voltage between 13.5V and 24V. The DPCO4 is preferably connected to an OC32/NG, OC32, or OM32 (serial). The control unit outputs used must be equipped with (standard) sink drivers. The DPCO4 can be controlled from any other control unit that switches a DC current of at least 100mA from a load to GND (50mA for the DPCO4/12). The DPCO4 inputs feature flyback diodes, so the control electronics do not explicitly need to be suitable for inductive loads. If the control electronics are not “open collector” or “open drain,” they must not supply a voltage higher than +5V for the DPCO4/05 or +12V for the DPCO4/12. The DPCO4 has an onboard voltage regulator to stabilize the relay voltage. For the regulator to function correctly, it is important to connect the negative/GND terminal of the DPCO4 to the negative/GND of the module that controls it. The DPCO4 comes with a mounting frame and screws. Use these to screw the module onto a flat surface (usually and preferably wood). Ensure you leave enough space around it to plug in the connector and connect the wires.
