The DPCO4 is a relay module that can be used to switch various signals potential-free. The module contains 4 double-pole changeover relays that can be switched independently. The DPCO4 must be controlled with one external signal (DC) per relay, for example from an OC32 module. The use of other electronics is also possible, provided they supply the correct control signals. The relays switch a maximum of 2A per contact at 24V (DC or AC). Applications for the DPCO4 are numerous. In principle, you can switch anything on\/off that must not have an electrical connection with the switching module. Some examples include: Switching frog points of turnouts, supplying turnout lanes with track voltage (Dinamo, see document \u201cDinamo Plug&Play Wisselstraten\u201d), supplying staging tracks with track voltage without having to use a separate block output (Dinamo), saving block outputs at staging yards (Dinamo), and switching devices that only operate on AC. The DPC04 is equivalent to the HPP4, with the difference that the DPC04 is somewhat easier to connect due to a smarter design and smaller components. Two versions of the DPCO4 are available: DPCO4\/05: The version with 5V relays can be powered with a positive DC voltage between 7.5V and 15V. DPCO4\/12: The version with 12V relays can be powered with a positive DC voltage between 13.5V and 24V. The DPCO4 is preferably connected to an OC32\/NG, OC32, or OM32(serial). The used outputs of the control unit must be equipped with (standard) sink drivers. The DPCO4 can be controlled from any other control unit that switches a DC current of at least 100mA from a load to GND (50mA for the DPCO4\/12). The inputs of the DPCO4 are equipped with \u201cflyback diodes\u201d so that the controlling electronics do not explicitly need to be suitable for inductive loads. If the controlling electronics are not of the \u201copen collector\u201d or \u201copen drain\u201d type, the electronics in question must not supply a voltage higher than +5V for the DPCO4\/05 or +12V for the DPCO4\/12. The DPCO4 has an onboard voltage stabilizer that stabilizes the voltage for the relays. For the voltage stabilizer to work correctly, it is important that you connect the minus\/GND connection of the DPCO4 to the minus\/GND of the module controlling it. The DPCO4 comes with a mounting frame and screws. Use these to screw the module onto a flat surface (usually and preferably wood).
