You can try one more thing: Set the Relay hold current to 50%.

Yes, that seems to have solved the problem, the VPEB Controller makes the TT bridge operate ok.

Also iTrain seems to control the bridge ok as well.

However when i activate a loco in Auto Route in iTrain, the loco moves onto the bridge ok,

But then the loco is activated to move before the bridge has finished its rotation to the appropriate position.

Something is allowing the loco to move while the bridge is rotating.

Is it possible that the DTC Control is responsible for the loco on the bridge whin it is still rotating

Now maybe this is an iTrain issue and i will ask the Forum. I do know that in the iTrain manual it states that in the Interface editor the Flow Control should be set at RTS/CTS, where as in the DTC manual it states No Flow Control.

I have tried both settings anyway but there is no difference, so i have left it in No Flow Control state.

Regards

Geoff ( I'm happier now than i was, which is not bad for a Grumpy Englishman )

Hi Geoff,

Good to read it works. Last advice on this: Set the Relay Hold Current as low as possible while still keeping it work ok. Default = 25%, 50% apparently works OK in your case. 37,5% may work fine as wel. Less current means less heat development in the solenoid.

The early release problem you mention is solved in one of the iTrain releases, as far as I remember already some years ago.

Best regards, Leon

Yes the problem was iTrain, which is fixed now.

But Typically before i got the iTrain problem sorted i decided just in case to re-calibrate the DTC Control unit . It calibrated ok but i noticed different values .

Now the Bridge rotates extremely slowly and dosen't respond to the Minimum Speed settings.

Not too bothered because it is working but i just wonder why  it is running very slow. It takes 3 minuits and 35 seconds to rotate 180 degrees.

Do certain settings need to be adjusted before a Bridge Calibration can take place ?

Regards

Geoff

You can calibrate as many times as you want. Between different calibrations you may find different values, however, they should be rather close. If you find motor factor 130 after one calibration and then 40 at the next, something is seriously wrong with your turntable.
